Well done, each step counts
I see celebration and thankfulness as two sides of the same coin. Being thankful creates room for more and opens our eyes, ears and minds to be attentive to things that matter irrespective of how big or small. Our culture teaches us to take other aspects of life for granted and only focus on the next big thing, and this is robbing and hindering us from enjoying and celebrating everyday moments of life’s journey. We are being driven and consumed by entitlements and rights that we’ve become blind and unappreciative of the drops of blessings we get to experience each day.
We don’t have to continue living our lives this way. We can choose to make celebration and thankfulness our everyday life liturgy. It is in our power to change this script and write one that makes us come alive.
Today, I challenge you to discipline yourself to identify and write down each day five things you’re thankful for and call out a celebration moment. You can do this alone, with a friend, family or your neighbours.
Dare to make celebration and thankfulness a part of your daily routine and invite others to do the same.
